Earlsfield Primary

Postby Joe Banana on Thu Jan 08, 2009 12:36 pm

Banana Jnr will be at school age year after next, so we're in the process of looking at schools, in particular local (for us, Earlsfield Primary) v. private. I'd be grateful to hear of any feedback on the school, positive or otherwise...

Thanks

Our girls go to Allfarthing and it seems absolutely fine, although the headmistress Veronica Bradbury, who has been at the school forever, is due to retire. I've heard good things about Swaffield too, from the people who sold us our house, whose sons used to go there.

I have two children at the school and I'm really happy with it, and more importantly, so are they. The school has a good feel about it and there are always interesting things going on. The best way to find out about the school is to go along to one of the regular open mornings and see for yourself. I'm not sure when the next one is but you can check out the school at http://www.earlsfield.wandsworth.sch.uk.

That's really good to hear. We're trying to decide between Earlsfield Primary and Swaffield Primary. If you go by Ofsted reports Earlsfield wins, but I've been to visit both and was probably more impressed by the head at Swaffield.

Any thoughts would be gratefully received!
